I will look up the web sites for the guitar tab. I can't wait to hear the new Bunnymen album in august 2005 ! I hope the Bunnymen tour "down south" as I have recently moved from the North west. I have seen "Electricfixation" at the Citadel in Warington and also seen the Bunnymen live at the Royal Court in Liverpool. I really enjoyed the latter of the two gigs. I would love to have seen them live at the "Albert Hall", all those years ago. I'll have to buy Turquoise Days (I haven't heard of the book to be honest). I've got "Crystal Days" the book/4 CD set which is a good read and has some unrealsed Bunnymen tracks. In response to Denise Easley, Federico Garcia Lorca is a Spanish poet who was murdered by Fascists after the outbreak of the Spanish war. I really love poetry and lyrics. Here's one of his poems: The Moon Comes out When the moon comes out the bells fade into silence and impenetrable paths come to light. When the moon comes out the sea floods earth's surface, the heart feels like an island in the infinite. Nobody eats oranges under the full moon You eat only green and icy fruit. When the moon comes out, one hundred identical faces, the silver coins in your pocket weep. (Lorca). I got into poetry through listening to music and think Ian McCulloch is a fantastic lyrisist. Anyway - Thanks again Jon Sweeney. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Mar 2005 10:17:12 -0800 (PST) From: chris adams Subject: Re: seven-seas Thanks for the e mails Lorca was amazing, a fantastic poet, one of the greats of the 20th century. He was also a huge influence on Leonard Cohen, who, as most of us know, is one of Mac's faves. - --Chris Adams jswee wrote: Thanks to everyone who responded to my e mail. To be 100% truthful, I only found out about him after The Clash namedropped him in Spanish Bombs on London Calling. I checked his stuff out just after that album came out, but was probably too young to fully appreciate it... I was always more of a John Cooper Clarke man myself ( saw him again last year ) I'll have to dig out my Mac does Chaucer tape.. That was a splendid broadcast !!
