Well, her voice is strong and pure enough to shatter a glass, I think -- one of the only female vocalists out there who could. She puts nearly everyone else to shame; I can think of only Siouxsie who has/had anywhere near the voice that Liz does. Man, I never ever thought I'd go to Coachella, but that day is just absolutely amazing. Here's hoping there are some after-Coachella gigs ;-) ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2005 19:36:34 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Coachella Lineup Announced > btw....has anyone heard The Futureheads cover version > of the Kate Bush track Hound of Love it's brill..... Best support band I've seen in years. > Great album despite the 9 minute prog-wiggly bits. They are from Dallas originally but seem to have gotten more support in the UK than at home. They feature on disc 1 ("Bert") of Gary Lightbody's _The Trip_. Y'all go download it now, it's one of the best compilation discs I've heard in a very long time. "The Road Leads Where It's Led" is fantastic and certainly a cautionary tale for us parents. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2005 17:48:44 -0800 From: Charles Pham Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Coachella Lineup Announced > Eisley are hugely overrated, having seen them three times. These kids have loads of talent and the girls' vocals are pretty amazing for teenagers. Going to catch them at the Troubadour next week actually. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2005 18:02:35 -0600 From: "Robert Rice" Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Coachella Lineup Announced got this in the post today....about Bauhaus reforming for Coachella from Daniel Ash's website. re: BAUHAUS REFORMS FOR COACHELLA Bauhaus will be reforming for Coachella Saturday April 30, 2005. I found the guitars very weak, and the songwriting needing something extra -- a better hook or something. Chauntelle Dupree seems very tentative as a lead guitarist. I think Stacy Dupree *is* very very talented for her age (just turned 16). With her keyboard playing, maybe they could turn more Keane-shaped ;-) They were quite trying to watch in Houston though, because they would stop mid-song and ask for a soundcheck and adjustment. And they did it every single song. Actually, I've seen them four times -- back at SXSW in 2003 and then three times last year. They are indeed young so they may go on to be a smash hit and prove me wrong ;-) let me know how the gig at the Troubadour goes.
