There's plenty to see on both days.. you have to check out Bloc Party, they're gonna be huge over here this year. Also M83, Ambulance ltd who I saw last Thurs supporting The Dears and blew them away, Four Tet. As for the Sun, there's also loads of good stuff... Bright Eyes, Gang Of Four, Roni Size, The Fiery Furnaces, the Bravery, Kasabian... Now that there's some space at Guantanamo Bay.. the perfect place for the Stereophonics, and probably legal too with the right brief... Stu Currently listening to Low's "Monkey" ( just how good is that.. albeit a bit P. Gabriel-ish), and also Rainer Maria's "A Better Version Of Me" ( why never released over here?) --- Charles Pham wrote: > http://www.coachella.com/ > the official coachella line up is below. a shame > saturday is > so good, while New Order is left to play sunday on > such a weak lineup > day. Best support band I've seen in years. Great album despite the 9 minute prog-wiggly bits. The Bloc Party effort is pretty good. Actually, this month has been cracking for new albums....Rilo Kiley, Doves, Low, LCD Soundsystem, Idlewild, M83, Beck, Bright Eyes, The Arcade Fire and The Chemical Brothers. All well worth checking (Doves one particularly - not a big fan but it does make me tingle in certain places) - -- Barry ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2005 23:10:19 +0000 (GMT) From: Stu Bird Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Coachella Lineup Announced Yep, I aquired both the Ambulance Ltd and Bloc Party albums a few weeks ago and they are both very listenable. I saw Idlewild last week as well doing the unplugged thing and they were awesome. I've never really been *that* into them, only checking them out 4 or 5 times at festivals only. But I have to say that the guy's voice is sounding top at the moment and the musicianship was great too. I need to check out Doves' new one.. Contemplating seeing them in march but 17 pounds a ticket!!! The new single sounds a bit happy though...
