The fact the Bunnies are still putting out quality albums I won't take for granted. It's become rarer to find a new album that I can really immerse myself in lately. "Flowers" was such an album. I agree, "Rollercoaster" is a gem. I have just been listening to the remastered 1987 album. As somebody here noted a while back, "Hole in the Holy" is a fine piece of work. And I really like "Jimmy Brown". That has an emotive quality to it which I think is downright harrowing. But then, I have never been a fan of the Dancing Horses --that is about the only Bunnymen song I actively dislike. Well worth watching; it does not attack the President in the way you might think. It DOES paint a picture of total defeat by both Texas Republicans and Democrats to do anything should they disagree with Karl Rove's policies (which W tends to adopt). On the "fun" side I finally have Donnie Darko to watch -- yep I know I'm the last person on Planet Bunny to watch it, but.... ;-) NO SPOILERS! ;-) ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Jan 2005 23:05:03 -0000 From: "Shaz" Subject: seven-seas Hugh Jones!!!!!!!! to produce next Bunny album............. :-) Flowers was said to have a Crocodiles feel to it.... so now we have HUH producer for the next one.... I just want to see the bloody thing sorted and released... They could well have missed any impetus that might have arisen over the last, christ knows how long..... In true Bunnymen style. There's gonna be some mighty ( according to the NME and Radio 1 so that will ensure that's all the public hear ) albums released this year, and yet again, I fear that the boat has already left port. I really hope I'm wrong. Someone on BC mentioned Steve Albini, and I couldn't think of anyone better to do a "job".. Just my opinion. Anyway, currently listening to Bloc Party, Ambulance Ltd, and the Manics, and have front row centre tix for an acoustic show by Idlewild in, apparantly, the country's "best acoustic chamber" http://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/ My dream is to see a similar Bunnymen show here..
