What is even more maddening is when the players union goes on STRIKE! None of us can relate to a guy making millions a year to play a child's game and then go on strike. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Jan 2005 01:40:30 +0000 (GMT) From: Stu Bird Subject: seven-seas References Okay.. Sorry I haven't posted much over the last week.. It all seems so insignificant considering what's happening in the World.. I've been numb. Still am.. Please continue to give. Anyway, as no-one seems to have picked up on it, a couple of interesting references.. This week's NME sees an interview with U2 and Bono seems to reference the Bunnys in a very positive way.. Very interesting. Also, having just watch the dvd that came with the Manic Street Preachers 10th anniversary edition of The Holy Bible, both Nick Wire and Sean Moore directly reference the Bunnys as a big influence on their stage look circa that time with all the camo etc. 2 nice pointers in the interviews.. That's all, Stu ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Jan 2005 04:04:38 -0000 From: "Ken P Jacques" Subject: Re: seven-seas OT Weird cricket statistics (and a bit of footie) Tis a good and interesting point you make young Matthew. I love cricket (England). the only trouble is I don't have enough life left to watch it. Rah for the England cricket team!!!!! Rah for DAME Kelly Holmes....jeez that musta blown her friggin mind. I had considered a return to my running career but have decided the few stone I need to lose would leave me now looking gaunt and my clothes baggy....ho well....... Footie Matt.....I had a smartarse answer......but.......I'm keeping my big mouth shut this year. Oh and Hoppy New ear everybunny ps No cricket did not derive from rounders it came about during the wars with france and spain ,circa ad 1400, where our brave boys would gallantly knock the enemies rifle shot away with the butt of their guns. 'Cricket' derived from the sound of rifle butt splitting on impact. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "my_white_devil" To: Sent: Friday, January 07, 2005 12:54 PM Subject: seven-seas OT Weird cricket statistics (and a bit of footie) > Given the complete absence of any posts, either on or off-topic, I > thought I would mention a weird statistic I heard on the radio this > morning, for anyone who is interested in cricket.
