Or perhaps you've already done just that... I have to say that it's been a few years since I've come back from a holiday to quite so many seven-seas emails. What's going on out there to wake everyone up???? I'm sure I'll read a few more emails and find that I'm just repeating what's been said, but the Dears are quite good. It's definitely growing on me. Very Smiths for sure, and a good dash of Damon Albarn thrown into the vocals as well. I'm growing a little tired of all of the derivative bands out there lately, but to borrow a quote from Barry, it hits the right buttons nonetheless.... Over here they have given up, and in the mall stores they are just playing 80s music straight up. Makes me laugh everytime I go shopping (dragged by my 12-year-old). ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Dec 2004 10:40:24 -0500 From: Rob Maher Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: Paint A Vulgar Picture I hear ya on the 80s stuff. It seems every time I stop on VH1 to see what's on these days, they are doing one of those stupid "list" shows about 80s metal-hair bands.
