Their first bigish single the one with the " Waiting for some... ( whatever.. can't remember the words exactly ) is totally Bragg.. the Sham is more general I'll admit.. I've seen them twice this summer, along with Phil Jupitus doing a guest appearance on Bitch.. well, he only did the "One, Two" thing.. Wasn't over keen at Glasto, but they were much better in Leicester IMO.. --- my_white_devil wrote: > (okay....how many more Morrissey-penned song titles > can we have as > subject lines?!) > > I just CANNOT hear the Billy Bragg meets Sham 69 > comparison! The Coxon stuff is great. I really liked his "Golden D" album and the rerelease of Freakin Out seems to be doing well. Well worth seeing live as well. We're seeing Kasabian in Cardiff soon provided the bloody tickets arrive.. The emotional pull of the songs seemed to go well with the venue. They put on a really intense show you don't see anymore, like they just have no choice but be up there performing. They make it an event. His voice reminds me a bit of Dave Byrne, but they aren't the nutters BSP are. There's just an honesty in what they do that seems to corrspind witht the estatic reviews. - --- Shaz wrote: > just had a listen to Wake Up..... > > voice reminds me of a cross between Wayne Coyne and > the guy from The SAlex H Band..
