Razorlight have that rock n roll pretty indie boy excitement about them and I think they are great live - only seen them live on tv so far :-( and they played Southampton a few days ago and I didn't even know :-(... Kasabian have some good Sgt Fuzzesque knob twiddling going on.... The Razorlight one is pretty good ; indie-by-numbers, sure, but hits the right buttons nevertheless... ...as does "No Cities Left" by The Dears (getting a lot of radio play on 6 Music at the moment). I've mentioned it before, but "Chutes Too Narrow" by The Shins from earlier in the year is a great album which wears all the right UK influences on its sleeve. They're big Will Sergeant fans as well.... "A Ghost Is Born" is easily the best album I've heard this year. By a mile. Agree Kasabian very good. New Cave excellent too My mate from Record Collector is on Mark Riley's BBC6 show. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Barry Sent: 27 November 2004 11:39 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: Paint A Vulgar Picture "C'Mon DJ" by Mr. Airplane Man is fantastic and getting a lot of play chez Whiting at the moment.
