I agree with wotcha saying there Stu.....but do you think an anon charity disc would sell? Maybe these artists are just adding to the 'charitable' work they already do by enabling the masses to join in.???wocha think ;-) ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 09:03:19 -0500 From: Rob Maher Subject: Re: OT seven-seas November Spawned A Monster > Any relation to Bill Maher? > > None that I know of. Be cool to be related to Johnny Marr as well; I believe the latter is a variant spelling of Maher. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 11:10:03 -0500 From: Rob Maher Subject: Re: OT seven-seas November Spawned A Monster >>> Any relation to Bill Maher? >>> >>> >> None that I know of. You may be right. Maybe we all had a common great great grandfather back in old Tiperrary. Last week I was watching a special edition of "Bands Reunited" on VH1 (I don't know if they show it in the UK). Most of the bands they reunite are lame, but I thought it was interesting that they mentioned one of the bands they tried to reunite and failed was The Smiths. They talked about reuniting them as being "the holy grail of Bands Reunited" but apparently they didn't even get enough film clips to put a failed show together. Oh well. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 12:55:41 -0500 From: RossNTeka@aol.com Subject: Re: seven-seas an actual music related post! MJ and Lionel Ritchie apparently co-wrote "We Are The World." I don't think we need a remake. Band-Aid 20 Know what you're saying Ken, and yes it's true to an extent.. It's a multi-headed monster ( hydra-aid anyone..ok, not quite the same ring )that does indeed do good, but at the same time enhances the profile of artists that don't need it. Even the govt are cashing in on the single trying to get some credability by not taking the VAT.. It's a shame they can't do that for all charities.. If you add up the cumulative worth of all the artists concerned, you could work out a charitable donation that would not effect them financially and raise the same millions that the single will gain, and save us all the pain of having to listen to the bloody thing...
