That was an issue in this campaign. Depending on which party you listen to, a public health plan is either going to save the health care system and leave no one behind(democrats) or it will be the beginning of the end of American life as we know it(republicans). I personally don't know what to think, because as much as the current system stinks, and is getting worse all the time, I'm also not sure I really am all that excited about the government handling it either, since they can't seem to handle much else all that well to begin with. So, since you are north of the border let me ask you, how does it work? Based what you said, it sounds pretty positive. Uh, no. I don't think we'll be able to afford it either given the cash we're spending on Iraq. Pity too that it's the healthy ones who are sent to die, otherwise maybe there'd be some cost savings. We are dropping in the number of people who have private insurance both because we've lost jobs and new ones created tend to not offer insurance. Some employers, claiming the need to be globally competitive, are also dropping health insurance from existing jobs. Damn, OHIP never seemed so attractive. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V3 #460 ********************************
