Anyhow, don't worry, be happy... the Republicans have had their 4 yrs to ruin the economy and alienate the world, now the Democrats get to clean up the mess again (hopefully). It keeps things in balance. But you have to give the current administration credit for killing Saddam's sons, that alone almost makes it all worthwhile. I still get a good feeling just thinking about those two getting shot to pieces while they cowered under a mattress. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Sep 2004 23:32:05 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: Re: OT: seven-seas MORE ADAMS LIES Okay.. my pc is so fucked it's untrue.. I'm only able to connect for like 5 mins at a time, but I have to take exception to this.. In the run up to the below event, UK and US bombs and bullets killed over 6000 innocent civilian men women and children in Iraq. A lot of live tv shown smart bombs (sic) hitting targets... In 2001 a truely mad lunatic murdered 300 innocent people in two tower blocks in the US..The work of an evil man. But somehow, people seem to think the killing 6000 innocent people is justifiable.. because they ain't from my country.. That one point alone backs up Chris's points.. There ain't any answer to that.. Unless of course it's a racist ( no, nazi ) answer. Oh, and Mac was involved in the anti-war concerts, so there is revelant band related link to this thread..... If ever there's a feeling when someone's executed, it might be relief. But when you live in a state (Texas) where the state deliberately murders way more than two people a year, I guess it's hard to work up any huge amount of sentiment other than "I sure hope a) they were guilty and b) killing them was the right thing to do." Yes, Mac was indeed involved in the anti-war demonstrations. I suppose it'd be possible to be non-Democrat and be against the war, and the other way round as well. I am beginning to think that the reason that the US government has not produced a dead or alive bin Laden is that if they did, too many of us pacifists would have insisted on stopping there. In other words, instead of not catching him making Iraq a whipping boy, Iraq was going to get its butt kicked anyway, and our government not producing bin Laden only helped that along. Now I'm going to go drink some Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate and pray there's still a safe enough world that I can go back to the UK as soon as possible. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Sep 2004 23:36:03 -0500 (CDT) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: seven-seas more fun than you can shake chris's book at! > PS: I'd like to have George Bush's babies. I guess I'll just have to say no to Bush. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 04 Sep 2004 01:51:47 -0500 From: Theodore Turner Subject: Re: OT: seven-seas MORE ADAMS LIES I miss the Soviets...NOW THAT WAS FUN!!
