McNabb getting grey in his beard like me. Good banter between the band, Roy Corkhill, Matthew Preist (ex Dodgy), Keyboard player from Waterboys (I think), new second guitarist (friend and co producer). McNabb told sound guy to turn Matthew's mic off a couple of times and did the intro of Dodgy's Good Enough. I actually think Over You is the worst thing on the album (sorry!) but I love Ship of Fools. It just seems to me that one is wretchedly overdone and the other is not. - K :) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2004 19:05:16 +0100 From: "Cardy" Subject: Re: seven-seas 1987 Album for what it's worth I think Hole In The Holy is the best of the three versions, just for the lyrics alone.. Two other albums that have "floated my boat" recently are McLusky's "The Difference Between You And I Is That I'm Not On Fire" and The Faint's "Wet From Birth". Check 'em out. The new Libertines' is rubbish. - -- Barry - ----- Original Message ----- From: "looloo" > INTERPOL are to premiere material from their forthcoming second album > 'ANTICS' at a one-off 'club' gig in LONDON next month. > > The band play the Scala on September 14. I have the first 2 albums but haven't got around to checking out the new one. Any band that can start a song with the lyrics "My love is bigger than your love, we take more drugs than a touring funk band" whilst still creating a hard, driving punk song can't be all that bad !!! Is There Ain't No Fool In Ferguson on it? Class track... I'm still really into Hope Of The States at the moment.... closely followed by Will's latest, and Mozzer's..
