I think that was one of the reasons Mac did it twice :-). Supla is one of the mitologic figures in music scene in Brazil. Mitologic not beacuse the music but because his non-sense and parents (famouse politicians). Children like him. His video clips are (not intencionally) ilarious. I think this settlist was taken from one of the three fixed on the stage, cause I remember about: 1. "Rescue" played just before the second Killing Moon 2. after Candleland he played solo (without the musicians) few seconds of Proud to Fall and part of The Game. Then continued with Nothing Last Forever and Walk on the Wild Side Forever (something like a mix Reed-Mcculloch). I was there with my sony cybershot and 512MB memory. And, to help remember this unique performance in the future, I recorded Pale Blue Eyes and Heroes in 640x480. I think Mac realized that. I also think he and management won4t care about it 'cause of the bad sound and image quality. The image is dark 'cause cybershot was not made to that porpouse. I thought nothing should be record otherwise I had gone to the show with 1 GB and had recorded 30-40 minutes. I want to know if I am allowed to make it available to you all. If I am, than I will put in a web site with some photo shots before SOMEONE come first and try to SELL a bootleg of this show recorded on MINI CD. Ah, and just a curiosity.... ..... Wayne Russey was there. I talked with him. He said Mac is his friend since 78. He is living in Sao Paulo (he said he is living near Piracicaba, I think he said that cause he can't pronunciate Santa Barbara d'Oeste :-) - a city near Piracicaba). Sad end of career ???? Plans for a biopic focusing on Curtis were announced at this year's Cannes Film Festival in May. The singer was just 23 when he committed suicide in 1980. Hook said: "The whisper I've heard is that Jude Law will probably play the role." He told the Macclesfield Express: "It's not a bad choice. The film is being made by Hollywood, but what's important is that they get the story right." The film will be based on Curtis' widow Deborah's book 'Touching From A Distance'. Producer Tood Eckert said: "We are speaking with an actor who is huge and looks rather a lot like Ian. He has just finished a couple of films in which the only thing he listened to was Joy Division and New Order." He added: "Should this guy ultimately agree that he is going to play Ian, it would make it a much bigger film. Ian Curtis is one of the most important figures in the history of music." ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 2004 11:09:59 -0300 From: "carlos.a.coelho" Subject: seven-seas Ian solo in Sao Paulo Hey everyone. I am writing late since I am on vacation, away from my computer. Last july 22nd, I managed to get Ian solo's gig in Sao Paulo recorded into minidisc. The concert was really good, except when Ian was joined by Supla, son of the Sao Paulo mayor, which is running for re- election this year. Supla performance with Ian had little to do with the mood of the song. The set list has been posted here, so I won't do it again. As soon as get back from holiday, I'll transfer the recording to a cd. I also took a lot of photos that will be used to make a cd cover. Anyone interested in a copy, drop me a line at carlos.a.coelho@uol.com.br and I will make you one. That is free, you just send $ for shipping and blank discs. Let me know. Take care, Carlos. __________________________________________________________________________ Acabe com aquelas janelinhas que pulam na sua tela.
