Having just encountered the very strange album Crush by OMD, I find the song "88 Seconds in Greensboro" to suggest itself as a candidate for a Bunnymen cover. Possibly OMD were imitating, but the song is like a ghost of a Bunny tune. If the odd washed-out quality and whiny vocals of OMD were replaced by the harder-edged focus of Bunnymen it would be pretty good.
