Anyway -- the agent who came up to me *saw* me sing; there's no way she could have heard me. I couldn't hear *myself* cos the gig was so loud. I could have been screaming the national anthem (any country's, or Radiohead's) and no one would have heard me. Yeah, you get the occasional Pavarotti-wannabe-from-hell that can oversing the singer directly into your ear. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 11:22:37 -0400 From: Red Subject: RE: seven-seas OT: Snow Patrol, Muse, Stellastarr*, and The Shin s At 02:16 PM 5/12/04 +0100, you wrote: >I USUALLY go to a GIG TO GET drunK and FALL over ********* and PERHAPS TO >*****HeAr SOME music and SING ALonG. hey...whatever flips yer lid! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 11:35:29 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Snow Patrol, Muse, Stellastarr*, and The Shin s At 09:11 AM 5/12/04 -0500, you wrote: >I agree that it's annoying, And yet you do it? so then, you shouldn't complain when people mosh, especially if you're not going to move away if you find moshing annoying! >but less so than having >my ribs cracked. Anyway -- the agent who came up to >me *saw* me sing; there's no way she could have heard >me. well, I never she heard you...did I? (she saw you all the way in the balcony?) anyway...I don't really care where you were (or her) or how loud you were singing..... I was merely giving **MY** opinion on the topic because it's not the first time you commented on singing along to every word..... I just happen to find it really annoying, so I move somewhere else where I can enjoy the gig! I once left a friend that I went to a Cave gig with standing alone in the balcony because he was annoying the hell out of me (and everyone else in sight) with his obnoxious singing!! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 21:45:29 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Snow Patrol, Muse, Stellastarr*, and The Shin s Not sure if I've missed something here but you've obviously no problem having a go at people online, so why didn't you just tell this guy to either shut up or fuck off ?? I'm forever having to ask people to stop spilling beer, knocking into us etc etc.. I almost had a full blown punch-up at a Keane gig of all places some days back with some student who couldn't handle his lemonade. We managed to get 3 touted tickets for the Bristol show, and they were brilliant live. A bit of a shock for me as there are no guitars, but they carry it off really well. They take a lot of pride in their b-sides ( possibly due to lack of material ? ) which I also like.. It's far too easy these days for bands to put out crap as b-sides. I'm going through probably the laziest time ever regarding music.. Can't be arsed to get new releases, or even download stuff, not to mention online activity. Still Glasto is only 6 weeks away now.. I'm desperately trying to find an alternative to Paul soddin Mcartney and pending confirmation, I think we may be catching Hazel O'Connor whilst he's trying to convince everyone he was always better than Lennon !!
