"The Guide" A5 supplement Sat 24th April Just to let you know that there was an excellent 2 page article in the above publication entitled "Pieces Of Eighties" which featured lots of references to the Bunnymen ( and also a photo) as well as The Cure, Teardrops, Bill Drummond etc.. If I get really bored, I'll type it all in.. Unless someone is able to host a scan ..... Cheers, Stu Sheldon Cooper wrote: Hey Chris Good to have you back. Don't sweat it, no offence taken. I know it's not possible for all of us to like everything ever done by a band to be as "great" as our personal favs with the possible exception of Ocean Rain. David Bowie is my all time fav "artist/band" & I have to admit to not thinking Black Tie is a great album while (blasphemy I know) I think Fame & Gene Jeanie are pretty lame songs tho the sales of the latter 2 as singles points out I'm obviously in the minority. Speaking of the Velvets just got the & Nico remaster. All Tomorrow's Parties is fantatsic, especially Nico's German accent on vox. Peace. Just rolling through the weekend papers when I came across that article... ... as well as *yet another* review of The Stills name-checking The Bunnymen in the first paragraph of a review. The Walkmen are also gathering Bunnymen comparisons on the release of their debut (well, I've read two reviews which have name-checked) - heard bits and bobs of the album and it does have *that* post-punk sound ; a bit Interpol albeit with chainsaw vocals. Off to listen to The Velvet Underground, -- Barry Stu Bird wrote: >http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/features/story/0,11710,1200902,00.html > >Okay...
