Now it has degenerated into the same ol' stuff....... Why do you need to periodically insist on taking 7c's into chit chat mode. It has been agreed many times that this is not the place for OT chat. I look to Villiers for all the chat and one liners etc etc, and I look to 7c's for the all important informative (music related). mails. For the same reason that Red replied to Stu, who'd mentioned that he couldn't go to a gig for lack of a sitter? The topic came up here and was replied to here *because one of the parties is not a VT reader*. I'd suggest that whether or not one gets a sitter for a gig is a topic that ought to be put to rest since we parents ultimately decide that, and we aren't going to change our minds based upon what some fellow fan thinks! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 07:08:02 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: OTOTOT Re: seven-seas Hey... Hey...no one was trying to CHANGE ANYONE'S MIND. Just asking a simple FRIENDLY question! Get over it. It's no wonder people don't post over here any more. You can't even ask a friend a simple question without SOMEONE trying to turn it into a 'psycho' analysis! But I cannot picture myself seeing them as a back-up! It's just not going to do anyone any favours what-so-ever, especially them! This is one I have to say no to, and pretend I didn't even know it was happening in the first place! In our bunny world you would be correct in saying this is what the bunnymen deserve. Top Billing all the way, but I suspect in the real world that if Coldplay was the opening act rather than co-headlining than a good number of Coldplay fans nay leave the show after Coldplay perform and miss out on the Bunnymen. By co-headlining, everybody gets a chance to see the opening band, then decide if they want to stay or not for that night's headliner. If they are equal, I think more people would stay and watch both. I don't like Coldplay at all, except for "Yellow" and would probably pass on this show too if the bunnymen were the opening act. I'm sure Coldplay fans feel the same way. However, I felt a bit different about the Furs, sure the Furs first two albums were masterpieces and IMO, their comeback, "Book of Days" rank anything close to Bunny status, the Furs are a second-tier band compared to the Bunny, not necessarily "opening act" status.
