Tru Stu combine all you said with the support band sound system setup and my money aint going anywhere near.......I can't get the Coldplay thing at all......nah Bunnymen top billing on a tour for me or a cozy night in with slippers and cocoa. A short intimate acoustic set might work....wadda ya think?? > Not sure quite what to make of this..... > Massively expensive tickets to see the support band who only ever get about 45 mins with no encores, and in a huge arena... > And if that wasn't bad enough, you get to hear the main act singing an album's worth of songs that sound like the support band. > > Don't get me wrong, I'm a Coldplay convert.. After their nothing more than average debut album ( IMO ), A Rush of Blood was storming but very, very Bunnymen at the end of the day.. To be honest, I think it would probably be a fantastic opportunity for the band to expose themselves to a younger, larger and pretty relevant market than they are likely to get anywhere else. I hope it pans out and they convert themselves a lot of new blood, but I have to admit that I'd likely have to take a pass on that particular tour....not that I'd be missed or anything ;) . Mega concerts just are not my cup of tea. > > Date: Mon, 19 Apr 2004 20:19:49 +0100 (BST) > From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= > Subject: Re: seven-seas Bunnymen to tour with Coldplay? > > Not sure quite what to make of this..... > Massively expensive tickets to see the support band who only ever get about 45 mins with no encores, and in a huge arena... > And if that wasn't bad enough, you get to hear the main act singing an album's worth of songs that sound like the support band. > > Don't get me wrong, I'm a Coldplay convert..
