I would have to pay her for her to do it, and it would cost more than we would spend going out in the first place !! Stu Red wrote: At 04:40 PM 4/17/04 +0100, you wrote: > >P.S. I've only been marginally in touch with the Bunnies, but I did speak with Mac a little while ago and he mentioned that much of the next B-Men album is written (and some recorded) and he was working on words. (He read some lyrics down the line that sounded great--really witty and sharp, as you'd suspect.) I'm looking forward to hearing the completed stuff, as I'm sure we all are. Recommended: new Dylan "Live in 1964"--amazing stuff, recorded between his earnest faux-folky-Okie phaze and hyper-psych maximum electric troubadour stuff. I went down to the (Irish) pub yesterday to watch (English) football -- the bartender was from Belfast, his mate from Dublin, and the audience was either from Ireland, Singapore, or America. Mr Belfast the bartender had never heard of Snow Patrol, so he went off and checked with someone in the back cooking, and about an hour and a half into my stay there came back smirking "do they sound like Travis and Keane?" :: rolls eyes :: That must be where I picked up the association. But hell, now Snow Patrol are being compared to Coldplay. Must be the size of the audience there, I dunno. Someone even had the temerity to insist that Chris Martin was as fit as Gary Lightbody. That didn't stand long ;-) Amy, overdosing on Snow Patrol and football ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2004 23:35:30 -0500 (CDT) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas Hi Chris! Hey Chris! Are you still in Boston, or elsewhere? There are a lot of great bands coming to Boston, or who've just played there..... You missed my annual SXSW debauchery -- well, it was pretty tame, really, and I still owe a report on the bands I saw. I got to meet one of my favourite bands, Snow Patrol, and that was a real mind-bender. Don't be a stranger!
