Noted that the following two artists have been compared to The Bunnymen in recent reviews... The Stills -- New L.P. entitled "Logic Will Break Your Heart". I've heard the lead off single and, whilst the music is certainly of Bunny-ilk, the vocals are the weakest thing I've heard since John Squire stepped up to the mic. The Shins -- Again, new L.P out ("Chutes Too Narrow"). Barque pop with the lead singer claiming the album contains a "Will Sergeant" sound. Only heard the one track & it sounded closer to alt-country than alternative-bunnies. Well, the Stills did open for the Bunnymen in the US last fall.. but I can't remember a whole lot about them. (had some drinks before the gig as usual!) ;-) But I do recall they weren't too bad. :-) Never heard of the other band.
