Shaz, All, Rabbit in the Moon originated in the San Francisco area in the early 90's on the now defunkt 'Hardkiss' label. One of my fave record labels of all time. Their music is kind of techno/ambient/breakbeat/funk fusion and has at times been 'trancey' - but not in that crappy Paul Oakenfold style. ''Out of Body Experience'' was one of the most famous tracks and still proof that dance music can work for your head and your feet! The Hardkiss crew have been putting on house / techno / breakbeat style parties [not raves!] since the early 90's and now operate as 'Sunburn' with their own 'Sunburn' label. The Hardkiss d.j.'s adopted Ramones style names, e.g. Scott Harkiss, Robbie Hardkiss, etc. I own pretty much every record released on their labels and was even once on their mailing list for free promos. Their music dominated my d.j. sets throughout the 90's. I'll get back to you all with some recomended listening from this bunch. More soon. Stevie G. p.s. A kind of Bunnymen link is that Andy Eastwood was good mates with the Hardkiss crew when he lived in San Fran. p.p.s. Another even more tenuous link is my friend, Hugh Bryder, became their promoter in the U.K. in the 90's and only chose Liverpool Uni for his degree in the 80's as he was a Bunnymen fan! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Mar 2004 14:03:17 -0500 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas Mynuskris - rabbit in the moon At 06:41 PM 3/18/04 +0000, you wrote: >Dunno what happened but I posted this last night and it didn't show on the >list today...!?
