Who should I see?! SXSW is around the corner and there are even MORE bands this year that I'm thinking of seeing.... but I need help figuring out which ones to prioritise cos there are quite literally so many! I will be handcuffed to the stage for Snow Patrol (eg they ain't getting me to move!) (LOL) but otherwise don't have my schedule firmed up. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Feb 2004 15:53:18 -0500 From: "David & Bernice Whiting" Subject: seven-seas RE: Help! Who should I see?! From what I've heard of them so far, I would definitely recommend making an effort see the killers if you can. They claim similarities to Furs and Interpol...personally, I hear a little more of a Snake Corps vibe to them. Vocalist has a strong Cope like delivery on a fantastic track called "Smile like you mean it". The tune "Jenny" has more of a Robert Smith delivery. I have heard four tunes out them so far and they are all very strong. Hard to believe they rose out of Vegas. I've had big ups on Toots and the Maytals .... reggae from Jamaica mon ;-) The only problem is that their time on stage is TBA cos they're playing one of the free shows at a mega outdoor stage. We'll see!!!! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V3 #94 *******************************
