It didn't turn out too bad at all, though I need to check it through the dvd/tv... Anyone have any ideas about reasonable priced video cards with TV IN.. My vcr isn't brilliant, and I wory every time I watch a tape in case the damn thing gets chewed..It would be good to archive the Pictures and Porcupine vcrs.. I might even watch them more !! Look.......I just upgraded my Real player AND my windows media players very recently. As in....I deleted them and reinstalled the newest versions. And this was only a week or so ago. I also clicked SAVE AS.......and I told it exactly where to save it. BUT....all it did was save the location...obviously, because when I click on it.....it goes directly to the Real player link that Matt posted. Even after I saved it from *your* link.... It won't save the actual file. What it saved is only 1KB. So I dunno what more you want me to do! Get a new PC? Right. Besides, I USED to be able to save these types of files... I've done it lots of times before. But thanks, anyway. Took me 34 mins to download (love dial-up) but now works great. My computer spent three hours yesterday downloading this thing from the other location, and played it nicely, and I thought I had it tucked away in the 'music stuff' folder, but now I can't find it anywhere on the computer. Being the cheap bastard that I am, I have been buying a lot of 2nd hand video tapes etc, not to mention the vast library of Glasto footage from the last few years.. I'll have a browse through those links.. I already do quite a bit of video file manipulation, it's just getting the stuff from the tv/vcr onto the hard disc.
