Yeah..... I always describe them as "from Belfast by way of Glasgow." If they'd been labelled the "Irish Coldplay" would that have been accepted, or would the fact that they're from Northern Ireland confuse things? I'm *not* trying to be political. And I have to wonder if it was just easier to label them "Scottish" and have done with it. I'm just glad that they're finally getting some recognition, obviously behind others who IMHO don't have nearly as good a catalog. If Coldplay could break the States, as much as Radiohead or Oasis did, can Snow Patrol? ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Feb 2004 02:29:00 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: seven-seas that picture page Check out: http://www.newwavephotos.com/giglist.htm It has a full list of gigs the photographer attended, and there are many fine pictures of The Early Days of many a group as well as those of the young Bunnymen. I don't think I can ever get enough pictures of Mac. There are also a considerable number of Siouxsie pictures, Joy Division / New Order, Buzzcocks, Teardrop Explodes, The Damned, just to name a few.... Merci beaucoup, J-R!!!!! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V3 #52 *******************************
