It was really really good, but, I myself, have seen more 'triumphant' shows too. I think the shows as of late have been 'forced'... Mac doesn't seem to 'get into it' any more. :-( I'm not talking about the between songs banter... but during the tunes, he just appears to be going thru the motions. If it weren't for the musicians (Will esp.) keeping the songs alive...it just wouldn't work any more. Is he bored? Maybe , but that's what the rest of their catalogue is for! ;-) But, as I've said, there's still no band I'd rather see.... and any Bunny gig seems 'triumphant' in comparison to what else is out there. So I'm not complaining. I just feel London was a far better show than Liverpool. It does seem to be a Mac thing. The sound and Will's playing were immense for the London show. Unfortunately Mac does orchestrate the songs and just didn't seem up for it. He seemed tired/bored to me. I thought it may have been cos of the night before but not from what I've read but the sounds of it. My girlfriend, who'd only ever seen then at Glasto this year, thought Mac sounded great. I think as Stu and others have said, we seem to expect more that the average punter when it comes to seeing the Bunnymen.
