The bassist of Tontrix went on to be the singer of A Flock of Seagulls. I love Modern Eon and the pre OMD track the ID. - --- Noose Boy wrote: > From McNabb list > > > -----Original Message----- > > > Whist retrieving the Krizzy tree from the attic > today I found me old > turntable and the above album. > A compilation of a few local bands of 1978 (no > Cherry Boys though? > may have been a bit early ). > Just wondering if anyone else has /had this album?or > remembers > catching any of em live? > > 1. He's also tirelessly promoted established groups such as Echo & the Bunnymen and been involved in local live events showcasing groovy new acts. Although you may not have heard it, if people on the list can spare a few moments to vote for his show that would be most appreciated. They have the "500 Greatest Albums" covered. Heaven up Here made #471. No Ocean Rain (which was a shame). What were #'s 472 and 473? 472: Def Leppard (Hysteria) - with their big hit "pour some sugar on me" (not one of my big hits:) 473: Coldplay (rush of blood to the head) What other interesting albums did Bunnymen/HUH beat out: 477 The Fugees - The score 480 George Michael - Faith 481 Smiths - Smiths 482 Elvis Costello - Armed Forces 487 Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness 490 Gang of Four 492 Pearl Jam Vitalogy 494 Cyndi Laupter - she's so unusual 495 Husker Du - New Day Rising 496 Kiss - Destroyer 498 ZZ Top - Tres Hombres 500 Eurythymics - touch Seems like some of judges have a bit of taste :) Also - on another page they had Moby's top 10 - which HUH was #10 Additionally - SPin (issue Jan 2004) has Mac featured on page 64. The title of the article is "Atists' Faves". Which they have a few artists talking about what album is their favorite and what is their favorite musical moment. Here is what Ian had to say: Favorite Album: "Echo & the Bunnymen's Ocean Rain rematered." Favorite musical moment: "Watching Coldplay at T in the Park in Scotland and then singing "Lips like Sugar" with them for their encore. Also, Bunnymen at the KROQ gig in San Bernadino, being the best band in the world".
