Erm, was 'All My Life' *not* the final track on the UK release or something? It's always been the title track on my lowly cassette US version purchased at the time of release. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2003 23:18:59 -0000 From: "shaz" Subject: seven-seas Liverpool and S. Bush gigs Well, something didn't quite gel at Liverpool........ Mac seemed to get upset at people singing along!!!???? Drummer messed up a few times and I'll Fly tonight was a mess (don't know why they do that one live, Mac can't sing it live and it always sounds laboured).... Some parts were brilliant, the atmosphere during the whole gig was AMAZING (esp. Killing Moon).....everyone standing upstairs and downstairs was heaving.... Jason did the usual jumping off the stage (well barrier anyway) even though he said he wasn't going to - he he Apparently, Paul McCartney's brother was there and Andy McClusky and also Ian McNabb. Mac's youngest was there too and Mac spoke to her a few times..... Someone said that Will's family were watching from the side too and I did see him wave to them... After the gig Will came out infront of the stage to sign autographs and I got to say hello and shake his hand.... It was a strange gig both great and poor and left me feeling odd. I wondered if I would travel so far to see them again and felt a bit let down. I was hoping that S. Bush would not be a let down too. I thought that Liverpool would be the high point and that S. Bush could only be worse.... However, the gig meet was great. Really good to see everyone again :-) Hope you didn't have too much grief with the car Stu. but S. Bush was BRILLIANT!!!!!! Absolutely fantastic, Mac's voice was really good, the band were tight (even for I'll Fly Tonight). Mac was in a much better mood and didn't seem to mind the singing along except for Ocean Rain (and I don't blame him for wanting silence for that one!!!!). I heard him say this is amazing (or words to that effect) and I don't think he wanted to get off the stage. The crowd were much more into it than I've ever seen at a S. Bush Bunnygig before. Unfortunately, there were a couple of tossers who insisted on violently smashing into people on purpose *sigh*..... Raj - sorry we never got to say hello!! Martyn sorry we didn't get to say goodbye!! anyway ....S Bush re-instated my love for the Bunnymen. Now I know I will travel to see them again..... Thank Bunnygod for that ;-) Shaz ps - the spale chucker for Stu says change to Stud :-o ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Dec 2003 00:04:14 -0000 From: "shaz" Subject: seven-seas Fw: Liverpool and S. Bush gigs Well, Saturday's gig in Liverpool re-instated my love for people first and foremost. I cannot thank you all enough for your ears, offers of help, floors, all around friendship, etc etc after a total nightmare start to the weekend ( I won't bore you all with the details ). You are all special people. Extra special thanks to Mark.. sorry to keep interupting your Sunday.. You were a rock for sure !! The gig was great atmosphere wise, and sketchy music wise.. I think Chris Adams hit the nail on the head a while back when he said that perhaps some have seen the band too many times, and we expect too much.. There were moments of pure brilliance, and others of pure waffle. One constant though, and it was Trina who made the point to me ( of course I already knew this but it was great to hear my wife get so involved as she's only really a fan through me ), is Will's playing. The guy is a master. He stands there, no "rock star pained facial expressions" during his work and churns out the business every time. Starman. Thanks again to everyone, apologies to those I didn't get around to seeing. Cheers, Stu P.S. There's a couple of people over on the Wylie board who were blown away by the show.. go check the posts out .. Ivan, I quoted your post about the website being down over there as people were asking.. hope you don't mind. P.P.S. Sharon.. you desperataly need new software.. although I'm sure Trina wouldn't mind that exchange..... shaz wrote: Well, something didn't quite gel at Liverpool........
