ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, "Jimmy Brown": This early incarnation of "Bring on the Dancing Horses" finds Ian McCulloch spitting out lyrics that, on the finished version, were delivered so breathily, they seemed to be on the verge of evaporation. One of seven bonus tracks on a reissue of the contentious "grey" album. I don't hear any difference between the Crystal Day tracks, and the versions I have on a CD somewhere around here... they should just release that whole concert... doesn't sound like there'd be much remastering involved... as someone noted on the forum, there appears to be a momentary glitch on the dancing horses extended version - a drop-out in audio... I store all my audio on a creative Nomad Jukebox Zen (60 gb), so I just did a little 'snip, snip' on the audio file - it appears the gap is added-in, rather than a drop-out, so no 'time' is lost in the song once the surgery is performed. (did that make sense?). I've e-mailed Zax to see if it was a mastering error... cheers all - -I ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 08:07:18 -0800 From: "Ivan Smith" Subject: seven-seas 25x competition Ken asked why I ended the competition.. I thought I'd covered that here before, but the reasons I discontinued it after a few weeks: 1.No time to keep up with it 2.Added it up, and I wouldn't have been able to afford the p&p for all the shit I was gonna send out... sorry, folks, for the let-down... shouldn't have started it in the first place, I suppose... - -I ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 17:10:16 -0000 From: "Barry Whiting" Subject: Re: seven-seas Lupine Howl (pay attention Stu and Matt!) ;-) - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Red" > Got this sent to me a bit ago: > > Anybody in the Bristol area on Sunday, then they might like get down to the > Coronation Tap pub in Clifton for the free Lupine Howl acoustic gig I had a near-death experience after visiting said pub.
