This dude is obviously a Goth Bunnyfan. No way in hell is _Ocean Rain_ their "poppiest" album. That (dubious) honour goes to The Grey Album. _Ocean Rain_ *is* a bit brighter than previous albums, though half the album's in a minor key, and why reviewers leave off the *epic* eponymous track is beyond me. Is it because it's the last track? slow to gather its majesty? I have yet to hear anyone claim that _Ocean Rain_ is a product of shooting themselves in both feet, or chintzily produced, or poppy, or even released under record company pressure to match sales. There are many who prefer _HUH_, and it's no doubt a great album, but _Ocean Rain_ doesn't deserve to be slagged off like this. Ooooooh..... less than 24 hours until release of the remasters! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Nov 2003 13:27:17 +0100 From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Jean-Ren=E9_Nolf?= Subject: seven-seas Re: Liverpool delayed tickets Here's the mail I just received from Wayahead : " Due to the possiblity that you may not receive your tickets for ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN at Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool on 29/11/2003 safely before the date of the show. Elbow are on too. Argh! We get "So Graham Norton" but NOT "Later." BBC America cancelled showing Eastenders here -- while it looks like it's going to stick, I was amazed that it made the front page of our newspaper! All they do is show the original versions of shows American TV has ripped off: Ground Force, Coupling, and all those crap house decorating shows. Americans eat that up and the ratings are relatively high. But truly British shows like Eastenders? The ratings fall, cos it's "mostly" ex-pats that watch. Ratings mean advertising dollars (yes, there are commercials on BBC America) and so bye bye anything that doesn't appeal to Americans which puts us right back into the same situation of absolutely CRAP television. Wish I could get BBC Canada if not the real thing! <<<>>>> At least American telly has begun to pick up the Rugby WC now that it's getting down to the last few games. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Nov 2003 16:55:30 -0000 From: "stevie g" Subject: Fw: seven-seas Re: Liverpool delayed tickets weird - i just phoned 'em about mine and they said they don't usuually get the tix until about 10 dyas before gig and they then send them out straight away. they also told me not to worry and to call if not received a few days before gig and they would arrange for tix to be available to collect at the gig on the night. stevie g. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jean-Reni Nolf" To: Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2003 12:27 PM Subject: seven-seas Re: Liverpool delayed tickets > Here's the mail I just received from Wayahead : > > " Due to the possiblity that you may not receive your tickets for > ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN at Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool on 29/11/2003 > safely before the date of the show. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Nov 2003 11:00:49 -0600 (CST) From: amyr@jump.net (Amy Moseley Rupp) Subject: Re: Fw: seven-seas Re: Liverpool delayed tickets > they also told me not to worry and to call if not received a few days before > gig and they would arrange for tix to be available to collect at the gig on > the night. Is the mail they sent just preventative due to the postal strike, which might affect overseas mail more than domestic mail?
