Thanks to everyone that came to our New York shows over the last week, you rock. This Friday we'll be playing at the Filter Magazine party at the Coral room in NYC with Midnight Movies and Les Savvy Fav. If you want to come email rsvp@filtermmm.com and tell them you want to come see Metric and to put your name on the list. We play at 11:30. If you happen to miss the NY festivities over CMJ then catch us in Chicago at the Double Door with The Walkmen on Sat Oct 25. We'll be in Los Angeles a few days later, playing the Napster launch party at the House of Blues on Sunset on Oct 29th with Interpol, Ludicris and Dashboard Confessional (!) It is a private party but we're seeing what we can do to get you all in, keep checking the site. Also we play Live on KXLU at 5pm on Oct. 30th and at the Troubadour that night with She Said Yeah and Circus Minor. Followed by a Halloween show at the Bottom of the Hill in San Fran on good old October 31st. keep fighting off the lethargy. You won't get any directly from the club because of the way they allocate tickets. You'll have to try 'other sources'. Try one of the UK ticket agencies, ask on one of the LFC messageboards or failing that, just head up to the ground on the day and chance your arm outside.... ...that's unless the poor start to the season continues in which case it may not sell-out (Birmingham isn't it ? Not glamorous opposition so not likely to be the clamour you'd expect with other teams). Very unlikely though. - -- Barry - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Oct 2003 23:17:57 +0100 From: "Barry Whiting" Subject: seven-seas Remasters www.play.com are now carrying the remasters. I was kind of hoping for a nice long set of sorts....greedy club merchants want to collect your ticket and send you on your way, so they can double dip. I love going to shows in NY, but there seems to be an epidemic of bad attitude with the club employees I've encountered at most of them. I'm still haggling with ticketbastard to have my tickets at the will call window, because they never came in the mail. Guess I'll try to make Nevada's closer to 5, if we can. We'll be coming over on a Path from Jersey City, so hopefully we won't screw it up, though it seems simple enough. Just trying to figure out if it runs direct from exchange place to 14th or if we have to switch trains in Hoboken first. But I ramble... >>and the woman I spoke with said this will *NOT* be a late show. She >>says the doors will open at 7, the show will start at 8 (with one >>opening act) and is expected to end by 10, >hhmmm....I was told the doors open at 8 pm...... >I hate when people can't get their shit together! >Thanks George!! :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #824 ********************************
