Kelley is doing that performance AFTER the Bunnymen gig too! in NYC same day as the Bunnymen.... shit, we should all go just for the hell of it! ;-) course I dunno how that would come off directly after a Bunnygig! but could prove interesting at the very least! ~~~~~~ We'll be playing the CMJ music marathon in NYC on Saturday, October 25th at Arlene's Grocery on Stanton Street in the formerly dangerous lower east side. I am on at 8:30 pm and again at 1 am when I'll be performing echo & the bunnymen's Crocodiles album in its entirety with a live band including Spiral Stairs of Pavement/PSOI. Also listen in October 25th at noon to world famous WFMU in NYC and hear Spiral and me perform live on air. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Oct 2003 13:04:23 -0700 From: Charles Pham Subject: seven-seas Bunnymen News two recent items posted on the Bunnymen site that hasn't been mentioned here: meet'n'greet at the paradise tonight posted Thursday, 23 October, 2003 THERE WILL BE A MEET'N'GREET AT THE PARADISE CLUB TONIGHT, THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE OR SO WILL BE ALLOWED IN TO HAVE A DRINK & APPARENTLY EAT SOME PIZZA AND GET STUFF SIGNED BY WILL & IAN. Does anyone have any idea on how to obtain tix to a Liverpool football match? Apparently they're playing the same day as the Bunnymen Liverpool show, so i figured why not catch the game as well as the show, since I'll be over there. Never been to a football match. According to the Liverpool FC site, tix might not even be available online. Any help? On Saturday, I was planning to go to the Webster Hall show *after* attending an earlier concert by Emmylou Harris. I figured the plan would work -- Emmylou will likely be done by 10, and the Bunnies typically don't start shows until nearly 11. I called Webster Hall today to see if they had any info on the concert start and end times, and the woman I spoke with said this will *NOT* be a late show. She says the doors will open at 7, the show will start at 8 (with one opening act) and is expected to end by 10, so they can have the place cleared out shortly thereafter for their regular club crowd. So much for my plan .... And anyone else who was thinking of going late might want to rearrange their plans! Also, for what it's worth, the woman who answered the phone said they weren't sure if tickets would be available at the door -- it depends how many advance tickets are sold through TicketBastard. If you are going to wait to buy them day of show, make sure you get to the box office early. You probably won't have a problem, but it is CMJ Week in NYC, so there is a larger crowd of music-oriented folks in the mix than there would ordinarily be. Looks like I'm going to have to be content with just the Asbury Park show tomorrow night .... Was exactly the same here in Bristol when Killing Joke played a couple of weeks ago....they were onstage at 8:30 and done by 10:15 so that the place could be turned round ready for a club night.... it seemed really weird to be have been to a gig AND be tucked up in bed by 11 !! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #823 ********************************
