(and/or NYC?) Okay, now that the L'Pool pub has been sorted (Doctor Duncan's) who's going to the NJ gig? Has anyone been to the Stone Pony before, and can you suggest any nearby pubs for a meet? Going by the info on the website, the doors don't open till 8 pm on show nights, and some of us wanna meet up before that for some drinks. We had a small discussion on VT, but didn't really come up with any ideas. Another friend told me that there's a cafe at The Stone Pony, so I checked out their website. It listed the menu, but it doesn't appear to serve alcohol...nor did it give their business hours. So I'm not quite sure if that option is really what we're looking for...unless someone knows whether they serve alcohol. Any suggestions?? We're looking at Nevada Smith's for the meet for the NYC (Webster Hall) show. It's very nearby, and seems pretty fitting for us Bunnynuts! Check out: http://www.nevadasmiths.net/ Unless anyone knows of something better, shall we go with this? It's great! And it's driving me fucking mad! It's an excel spreadsheet, with the answers embedded in it, so you have to overtype them correctly for it to register as correct (um...obviously!). I have some of them, others are bugging the hell out of me..... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2003 13:11:31 -0400 From: Red Subject: seven-seas P.S. about NYC meet... The name seems fitting! hehehee ;-) Looks pretty cool too. http://www.nevadasmiths.net/chrissy-macs.htm ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2003 13:35:58 -0400 From: Red Subject: seven-seas Stone Pony Cafe Someone already posted a reply to my post on the forum at Bunnymen.com about the Cafe... Stone Pony Cafe, is basically a little bit to the far left of the stage with a couple of tables to have a burger, it's in the same room as the stage so I think that won't be open until 8 either.. You might want too look at Harry's Roadhouse a little way down the street from the Pony, always busy but Stella and Red Stripe, http://www.harrysroadhouse.com/ There is a bar on the same block as the pony but i've never tried it purely because of how scummy it looks. I drank in some dives in England, but American dives are a different animal ~~~ I checked out the website and it appears as tho the Roadhouse is about 7 blocks away. What does everyone think? Too far? Or not?
