Right....I assumed Amazon wasn't carrying them just yet. They're not listing them as "Remastered" so it's not immediately apparent they're the new releases if you do a search........or perhaps I'm uber stupid...... Anyhow, #7.99 is enough to convince me to order them all. Thought I'd make it a theme purchase so I chucked in "The Book of Bunny Suicides" : http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0340828994/qid=1066151510/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_3_2/202-0319056-7026233 btw, they're all at ~280 in the charts apart from HUH and the self-titled one (#350) - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Oct 2003 10:25:49 -0700 From: "Ivan Smith" Subject: Re: seven-seas remasters tracks... - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Whiting" > Right....I assumed Amazon wasn't carrying them just yet. I'd posted the pre-order 'buy' links on the site, to the newsletter (and I'd thought to here), so...for the first or second time: Here's the skinny on the re-masters, from co-producer of the project, Andy Zax: During the mastering process, we discovered the tape of the band's first sessions for Korova (also, I believe, the very first recordings made after Pete DeFrritas joined the band). I begged both Warners and management to allow us to include them, even though we were in the final stages of preparing the album for reissue. We sorted everything out and the three tracks were added to the disc at the last possible moment. In the process, Crocodiles was shifted from its US to its UK sequence--with the US additions appended as bonus tracks--and the release date of all five albums was moved one week forward to November 3.
