A good compilation would be a better start, be happy to sort you one when I get back from hols in a couple of weeks Raj - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Stu Bird Sent: 30 September 2003 19:21 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Ian McNabb Question Hi Chris, I'm probably not the best qualified to answer this as I've only really become a serious follower in the last few years.. However, I'd say that each album is quite different, and to pick one would be unfair on the others ( yep, I really believe that !! ). So I'd suggest that a good starting place would be the demos and oddities compilation Waifs & Strays. Great cross-section of material.. acoustic, rock, blues etc. My own personal favourite album is Head Like A Rock, a lot of which was recorded with Crazy Horse, and in particular the track You Must Be Prepared To Dream, which can rival any songwriting you care to mention IMvHO. Could someone in the know recommend an introduction to his solo work that I could pick up? What album best represents him?
