The beats of the tracks also needs matching so that it flows properly, and with Acid, you can just slide the sample/track about till it fits. I haven't tried the Nero method so I don't know for sure, but you would have to know the timing (in seconds/tenths/ etc ) and work it out that way ??? > The other benefit is that you can edit tracks over a variety of criteria prior to inclusion in the mix. > > Cheers, > > Stu ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Sep 2003 12:30:06 +0100 From: "looloo" Subject: seven-seas FW: mini meets Hi all Just thoughtI'd let you know about some things that are hapening in case you wanted to join in.... So Stevie, if one *is* beat mixing, is Acid the way to go? ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Sep 2003 19:30:59 -0500 From: "Wayne Brissette" Subject: Re: seven-seas-moderated Slideling review K. Call it sacrilegious, but I tend to agree with this reviewer. There is nothing wrong with the record, but it certainly doesn't grab me like Flowers did. It certainly hasn't gotten the play time on my CD player that Flowers did/does because I haven't found it nearly as interesting. Again, like the reviewer, I don't think it's a bad record, just not all that exciting either. The Bunnymen hit the stage roughly 6:40pm and played almost an hour, exceeding their settime slot by about 10-15 minutes (everyone else before them were spot on time. ha). Artists watching from the side of the stage included members of Interpol and Hot Hot Heat. They were packed between Violent Femmes and Hot Hot Heat. Here's the setlist (the order is NOT accurate): Lips Like Sugar Rescue Back of Love Bring On The Dancing Horses Seven Seas Rust Over The Wall Nothing Lasts Forever/Walk On the Wild Side The Cutter The Killing Moon (w/ intro of Ocean Rain teaser) Ian was being typical Ian with the following quotes: - -- "doo do doo...it's pretty easy, not that hard man, 'doo do doo's, feel free to follow along" Ian on the singing along of "Walk On the Wild Side". And yes, the crowd joined in. - -- introducing the Killing Moon as "the best song ever written" - -- "we're the greatest band in the world", said with no real reason in the middle of the set. - -- "try and follow that" as the band left the stage. Other highlights of the festival were Dramarama on the second-stage; The Psychedelic Furs w/ Richard Butler falling over a monitor but recovering with class and Violent Femmes for not taking themselves too seriously. The Cure started off amazingly: their setlist was 1 song from each of their albums from start to finish, with 3 songs from each of the trilogy albums. Great idea, but it dragged when they reached the Pornography set. Would have been more appropriate & enjoyable if it was a Cure concert, not a festival. Here are some crappy photos. The best were the ones of the broadcast screens. I had pretty amazing seats, center orchestra, thanks to mark of dramarama, filter mag, and pure luck. it appears as if i was sitting further than i actually was though in these photos (i was 15th row, the capacity was 60,000). http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.001 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.002 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.003 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.004 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.005 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.006 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.007 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.008 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.009 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.010 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.011 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.012 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.013 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.014 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.015 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.016 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.017 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.018 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.019 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.020 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.021 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.022 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.023 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.024 .jpg http://phamiliardesigns.com/personal/sight/030920.kroq/echobunnymen.kroq.025 .jpg Charles Pham Web Producer charlesp@eonline.com AIM: PicturesOnMyWall WORK: 323.692.4676 CELL: 323.273.1550 E!
