Yeah, it's morning alright.... but 4.30 am?! Are you getting in from a night out, or getting up? I vote for the former given all the funky ASCII art. :-) - --Amy, watching _Adaptation_ which is about writing the screenplay for the book _The Orchid Thief_; it's based on a true story (the writing of the screenplay) and the book was also a documentary/true story! Has some very unusual moments. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Aug 2003 20:47:39 -0700 (PDT) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: seven-seas Re: [villiers-terrace] spiritualized US tour dates! Enough already. Wormboy left behind a lot of larvae .... When I heard on BBC World News that it was a teenaged American boy that had been charged, I immediately recalled Ivan's plea that all the lifeless geeks get dragged out of their holes so that there wouldn't be any more viruses.... I honestly think the complete breakdown of social contact at least here in the US is very much to blame. Even before households were wired, people still tended to stay inside their houses, very few people with kids have any kind of parties, people don't know their neighbours.... Small towns are one thing, but get a city of any size going and it seems as if people in general are becoming more and more isolated. Again, with so many lonely people out there it seems ridiculous. We can console ourselves by fragmenting into Internet user communities where we share something meaningful in common (as here), but it's not someone to go for a walk with, kick the football around with, curl up and watch telly with, and so on.... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #728 ********************************
