Nevermind the fruitcake, here's a bottle of wine I made for a Christmas pressie! (LOL) There will be about 150 bottles, I think. And mind you KP I live in a single storey detached HOUSE. We've plenty of land here thank you very much so no need for highrise flats as I am sure are plentiful in the burgeoning metropolis of Ipswich :-) Oh, and yer computer's clock is about twelve hours behind.... Red: at no point did the grape "juice" taste like grape juice from the store. Right now it's completely dry -- meaning the sugar has all been turned into alcohol. It's not sweet at all at the moment. I think the kids'd be far more likely to get into Mommy's "apple juice" (read: cider) though I have the driest kind you can get here; I don't like the sweet stuff. My eldest thinks people who drink at all are sinful lushes. Still don't know where she got that one from, but to her, making wine is okay, it's the DRINKING that is bad :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 19:47:07 +0100 From: "Echoing The Bunnymen" Subject: Re: seven-seas-digest V2 #715 Rebecca as far as I know is at Drama college in Manchester... True, true, though I did not start my binge drinking career until I was twelve. :-) And she's only four :-) (Oh, and I retired at age 21. :-)) It won't stay like that for more than a few more days, then it goes into oak barrels for aging. And those go into the garage once it is cooler than 2000 degrees outside ;-) If you want connoisseur wine, you pay like USD $300 for a French oak barrel; but you can use Hungarian or US oak instead, or even certain beer kegs and float oak cubes inside. Once it's outside, it can be locked up. My cider is also out in the garage :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 23:29:51 +0100 From: "Barry Whiting" Subject: seven-seas Come Pick Me Up For those who may be interested...
