It has a tap at the bottom -- think bigger than the biggest keg. As for the custodial issue: winemaking on this scale is a very serious hobby; it's cheaper to just go out and BUY the wine. My brother wants to be a vintner someday, and has been working at it hard for years: it's not just about the wine, but cultivating the grapes (months and months of hard work) and doing the fermentation and aging -- y'all have no idea how much work it is! Texas is encouraging the growth of its wine industry; wehttp://www.twgga.org/ can never rival California because our weather just is not as kind to the grapes, but we are beginning to produce niche wines that are wonderful. See: http://www.twgga.org/ if anyone wants to learn about the wine industry in Texas. - --Amy - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 09:34:00 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas mrs p Quoting Red : > At 06:50 AM 8/27/03 -0700, you wrote: > >though it's funny how you click on the e-mail link, and the name comes up > >"bonnie marsden" > >pretty sure it's a hoax > > How are you able to find this....where does it originate from? > Every time I click on this link it says 'page not found'. > I tried a search, and even tried just www.turquoisedays.info > and all the searches lead to a blank page! Maybe it's Turgut. :-) The main reasons that people (mostly men) pull this Internet crap like hoaxing and viruses are a) boredom and b) isolation from society, whether self-imposed or from rejection by peers. The "Columbine" effect isn't just limited to Colorado and shootings. - --Amy - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 10:05:44 -0400 From: "Charbonneau, Peter J" Subject: RE: seven-seas OT: T3 It's based on the life of Harvey Pekar, an everyman guy stuck in a dead-end life as a file clerk in Celeveland who decides to create a comic based on said life, called American Splendor. He somehow gains some measure of success and notoriety from it, but how much is open to debate. He was a guest on 'Letterman' a few times in the 80's, the clips of which are seamlessly merged into the film. He refuses to deal with success since he's so used to his life that as miserable as it makes him, he basically needs that life to carry on. Paul Giammatti is the lead and he seemed to capture Pekar really well. Pekar narrates the film and appears in several scenes 'off camera' in some clever filming ideas. (There is one scene where Giammatti finishes his line and walks off set where Pekar is standing having a conversation with his co-worker Toby. The conversation seems pretty non-scripted and Giammatti and the actor playing Toby are sitting in chairs observing the interaction between the two real-life people.) There's not too much to give away as there is really no story arc, so to speak. But it's an engaging story nonetheless. Hope Davis plays his 3rd wife, and their relationship is pretty dynamic. Very entertaining scenes on how they meet and find wedded 'bliss.' It was just a nice change of pace. Well-acted and it works on a few layers. - -----Original Message----- From: Red [mailto:redhead@sunlink.net] Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 9:46 AM To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: RE: seven-seas OT: T3 At 09:28 AM 8/27/03 -0400, you wrote: >If you want to see a really good film, try "American Splendor" which >just came out recently.
