Quoting Red : > and it still sent both! Does it all the fucking time! > Annoying as hell. Eudora isn't perfect....but it's EASIER > to use than Outlook!!! And far less virus-prone. I'll use an analogy here: the people driving Ford Explorers with the defective tires didn't know for the most part that they had a problem. But they were a menace on the road not only to themselves but others. And certainly once owners *knew* they had a defective vehicle they were responsible for changing their tires so as to not pose a threat to others like their passengers and other vehicles. Outlook is horribly flawed and everyone knows it. But because so many people keep using it ANYWAY, virus writers have a picnic picking off those users, and viruses clog the Internet for *everyone*. Just because the thing comes 'free' with Office or Works don't mean it has to be used. Asking people who use Outlook to switch to another mail reader is NOT a personal attack on people who choose to continue to use it. - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2003 08:54:39 +0100 From: "K.P. LOL Now I gotta eat my words :-) I do plan to see it if it's still in theatres over the weekend.... I spent the one weekend I was GONNA see it picking grapes for wine (which is now fermenting in my living room, all 70 gallons of it). If I'm gonna watch it, I've got to see it in the cinema, or I won't even get the special FX :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 03:15:12 +0000 From: "Peter Burnand" Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: psycho... It's the same guys who appeared, with Ian, last year as the Australian Icicle Works. This year, Ian, who had apparently promised to turn up again.....but didn't (or hadn't by the time I staggered out), was replaced, as the special guest, by Peter Coyle, he of Lotus Eaters fame, who joined the band on stage to sing "First Picture of You". Didn't see Chris Sharrock, who turned up last year. Apparently he said he would be there again this year. Interesting set list including a version of Blind, Killing Moon, How Does It Feel (To Be On Top Of The World), People are Strange, Staying Out For The Summer. Also nice to hear Couldron of Love and Whisper To A Scream blasting out of the PA during the intervals. The band were very good and played for at least two hour in total. Excellent atmosphere in Liverpool during the day. Pity I drunk so much Guiness! - --- In ianmcnabb@yahoogroups.com, wrote: > > > I see there is a band playing the Matthew Street Festival this > weekend called " Echo & The Icicle Eaters " ! > > Should be an interesting set ! ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #711 ********************************
