"Politik" and "Clocks"--but I haven't heard much off the first. I've heard "Yellow", which I loathe (too smarmy and sentimental)--are the other tunes any good, or is it all as...erm...WIMPY as yellow. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 19:13:07 +0100 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas Snow Patrol (not just for Shaz, but everybody) I like both albums (not love just like) and Spies from the 1st album is fantastic... Glad you like them!! :-) My fave track on Hawley cd is track 4. My fave track on Beck cd is Guess I'm Doing Fine My fave track on Tom McRae is One More Mile, this is the only song to have given me a real physical shiver down the spine on the 3rd or 4th listen. The bit when he sings a bit higher "Do I have the will, Do I........" superb... Which are your faves Bobbi? I always thought that when people said a song sent a shiver down their spine it was just a figure of speech not a real physical shiver!! Everybody - which songs have given you a real shiver down the spine? (Amy - We know what Ocean Rain does to you already!! ;-)......)..... I was not complaining about the fact that they are loud just stating fact. I love loud music......(in case anyone thought I was being an old fart!!).....he he > Shaz, if you haven't, you REALLY need to listen to the new > Snow Patrol. LOL.... well, Snow Patrol does a pretty good job, but "If I'd Found The Right Words To Say" has a special place in my spine. :-) "Don't torture yourself With what we might have given We did everything that we could ever do And I'd like to change all this And I'd like to wake up from this by your side...." As to adrenaline, Rush's "Marathon" continues to inspire me after nearly 20 years post-release. If I need to get something done that I'm dreading, and need to harden my resolve, that's the song for me. - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 11:50:48 -0700 From: Charles Pham Subject: seven-seas KROQ show presale in a few minutes.
