And I don't like to watch action, blood and guts because they trouble rather than entertain me. I prefer to think, if only because I can sometimes find analogies between TV and movies and "real life" that help me communicate better. Like saying my life is like Abby's family life on ER, having to raise a younger brother and deal with a mother who's... well, anyway, if someone knows that show, that's all I have to say. Though I agree with you on the "quiet" part, and ya even have to be quiet on the keyboard or you can't follow the movie (at least I can't do both at the same time!). ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 14:12:13 -0500 From: "Amy Rupp" Subject: RE: seven-seas OT: Snow Patrol -- Run, don't Walk > Totally blinding gig.. Glad it was good for you Stu :-) Have Snow Patrol ever toured the US? They're a band I'd be willing to travel very, very far for.... though explaining why would be interesting, cos at least EATB gets name recognition among most folks :-) Snow Patrol are all but unknown here. Groups that get publicity through the music rags are much more well known. They really deserve a breakthrough with "Run". I was looking at top sales at one of the CD vendors in the UK (can't remember which) that lists top 75 sellers.... the soundtrack from *GREASE* was in at #73.... yeah, okay, it's a good movie and all and I like the soundtrack, but #73?! The Coral were #1, I think, with Magic & Medicine and the eponymous album was fairly high as well. I kept on thinking, boy, too bad they cannot buy an instant concert experience :-) (come to think of it, I'd kill for a virtual reality concert experience with a lot of bands that I just won't get to see unless I happen to be in England at the time) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 14:36:12 -0500 From: "Amy Rupp" Subject: seven-seas OT: Snow Patrol "Run" lyrics I wanted to post these cos the vocals are a bit down in the mix in places.... and cos I love the lyrics. www.snowpatrol.net Run I'll sing it one last time for you Then we really have to go You've been the only thing that's right In all I've done And I can barely look at you But every single time I do I know we'll make it anywhere Anyway from here Chorus: Light up, light up As if you have a choice Even if you cannot hear my voice I'll be right beside you dear Louder, louder And we'll run for our lives I can hardly speak I understand Why you can't raise your voice to say (end chorus) To think I might not see those eyes Makes it so hard not to cry And as we say our long goodbyes I nearly do (Chorus) Slower, slower We don't have time for that I just want to find an easier way To get out of our little heads Have heart, my dear We're bound to be afraid Even if it's just for a few days Making up for all this mess.... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 19:56:00 -0400 From: "tony schinella" Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: More remasters ...
