Ahem..........Quote "> ps That movie about the Italian fellows with that little bloke who gets abit uptight.....I think they based it on a brand of pizza.....that was ok too ;-)" unquote I thought as an afterthought it kinda hit ya in the face, obviously not lol. The first time I saw Goodfellas I was on my own and I couldn't believe I had seen what I thought was such a fantastic (abeit pretty violent) movie. I don't normally worry about what others think....but....sometimes I watch movies and I think I'm just rediculous to be blown away by them.......so a little bit of the paranoid me has to wonder what other people think of it......does anyone understand what the hell I'm on about? ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Aug 2003 20:55:56 -0700 From: "Ivan Smith" Subject: Re: seven-seas remasters... by the way, I haven't gotten word on if the tracks will be on the same or seperate discs - anyone wanna do the math and figure if seven extra tracks would even FIT on a single CD with porcupine or the grey album? All those Bowie remasters only had 2-4 extra tracks - ----- Original Message ----- From: "K.P. This is one of the very few songs that has ever grabbed me and refused to let go; I am walking around singing the chorus, which is anthemic -- if this doesn't hit the UK charts, I don't know what would. And my money is on this song being on a movie soundtrack. If any of you would like me to send the one song to you, I can. However I intend to get the full album ASAP. - --Amy, who is a sucker for Snow Patrol's genre of trying to cheer up star-crossed lovers - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Aug 2003 23:19:03 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: seven-seas OT: TiVo + your computer = mega blaster I'm now completely besotted with TiVo; before, it was "just" a digital video recorder which is a lifesaver to time shift the kids' shows as well as mine -- no damned tapes to change in and out, and very easy to program. They've come up with a "Home Media Option" whereby you can program your DVR from the 'Net (say you are at work and remember you wanted to tape a show -- log in, and send the request, and poof, it's there). You can also transfer shows between DVRs if you have more than one (we do, because the kids watch such different television). But tonight I set up the music part of it and got hooked. The TiVo sits on your home network, whether wired or wireless, and you can use either a Mac or PC to control what you share. In my case I have a frightfully large amount of stuff on the PC, and it all came up flawlessly on TiVo. You can then surf on the TiVo almost as easily as on your computer, and play .mp3s and .wavs. Since most folks who have TiVo have everything connected to a stereo receiver, you can essentially send via TiVo *any song* to your stereo. Screw CD jukeboxes, hard drives are dirt cheap and I'm getting a couple and starting to rip my CD collection. I do wish TiVo was cheaper, but it *is* actually a fully- functional Linux computer in a box. The cool thing is that you can be in a completely different room from your PC or Mac and you can surf your music share on the TiVo. Very handy. A friend of mine had this concept a few years back and wanted to productise it, but couldn't raise enough venture capital to do it. It's not quite everything we had envisioned, but it's a good start. - --Amy - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Aug 2003 23:31:59 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: seven-seas OT: Brief BBC review clip, Snow Patrol I found this *after* I sent the previous post: "'Run' is typical Snow Patrol, and therefore great - sentimental with a massive tune that, like the rest of their back catalogue, deserves to be sung in stadia.
