There has to be incentive for those who have the albums already to buy again and I don't believe a "remastered" sound is a good enough reason. After all, I'm not convinced they're going to sound any better than their vinyl counterparts (...but a CD remaster is long overdue). Be nice if the extra tracks were on a separate CD, though. Not expensive to do but I suppose it all eats into profit margins... - -- Barry Whiting barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Aug 2003 19:00:44 +0100 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas Slideling review IMO it's to reflect the conflict between him/her or whatever him/her symbolises and I think in that way it works well..... I don't mind extra music when it's on singles.... but I HATE listening to a album that I've loved for YEARS and then there's all this extra stuff at the end... totally ruins the feel of the record. Bowie's 'Station to Station' is what made up my mind about that! A friend taped it for me years and years ago, then when it was remastered I got it cheap somewhere, not realizing it had all that extra crap at the end......and I always have to run and stop the damn thing as soon as it's over . That's why I'm afraid to even listen to HUH in that manner!
