Heat with Pacino was alright, and I dug Jackie Brown. And Midnight Run was funny (on an on-topic note, Mac says it's his favorite flick.) But mostly "Bob" seems to be getting paid to be a parody of himself these days. Watched Taxi Driver for, like, the 10th time the other day and it's still one of the best movies I've ever seen. - - --Chris Adams - --- Not seen Midnight Run, I'll have to catch that one. I could just imagine Mac and De Niro at some dark and gloomy downtown bar shooting the shit together over a drink or three. They ever met, Chris? Think I read somewhere that the bloke who tried to assasinate President Reagan said it was Taxi Driver that made him do it. Maybe they should try to get him to watch it again now... Ace movie. Would be great to see Robert De Niro work with Scorsese again but perhaps that's a bit too obvious. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Aug 2003 21:19:47 -0700 (PDT) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: Re: seven-seas Killing Joke gig - --- Red wrote: > At 09:01 PM 8/15/03 -0700, you wrote: > >Wish I was there to see that gig. They played a lot from HTTT, it was the most loose I ever saw them, Thom and Ed were dancing a lot, Thom even clowning around a lot more than the gig i saw two years previous. Anyone else see them recently? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
