Well, I could try from 150 miles away but I doubt it would make a difference :-) I should be in Houston late September and early October (REM and Radiohead -- at The Woodlands) but she needs patching before then! :-) There is a hibiscus show I'm seriously considering going to in Bellaire this Sunday. :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2003 12:25:15 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas gig websites??? > Go to the the best source in town: http://www.villagevoice.com/nightguide > under club listing see > the links for "view ad" or "visit website", but you must do this on a weekly > > basis or you'll miss out! I was going to ask, Henry, if there was an "alternative" weekly in NYC... had to be; there's the Chronicle here (www.austinchronicle.com) which is lovely at SXSW time; and Toronto has.... God, I think it's called Eye or Orbit, my memory's no good this morning. I get the Clear Channel crap for the Houston area but it is mostly larger gigs. However, a few smaller ones as well. I've had a friend say they wish Clear Channel would explode, because they are such a monopoly over radio stations now that you hear the same thing on every station. If ever I find myself very poor, I'll move to Mexico, and revive the practise of setting up 200,000 watt radio stations aimed at the US and flooding the airwaves with Nothing But Cool music. I'll always play seven-seas' members faves. (Note: very poor in American terms can translate to fairly well off in Mexican terms) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2003 13:37:42 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Cool > >...and I'd love to see this group do a Christmas card > >exchange, it'd be hilarious! > > we pretty much already do!
