Now *there's* an idea for a morning traffic report person..... people actually *on* the motorways and byways giving their tuppence on the situation. You could even give recommendations for music to play while waiting (sweating?) it out in the traffic. And BTW, the Met Office says there are going to be more summers like this one in future; y'all simply have got to help us deplete the ozone layer by getting air conditioners. Isn't a tour-ette what the Bunnymen normally do? :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 13:00:30 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Beer, the Munchies, and California > Out here in Calif. we have a beer "mantra". I read a really funny article about the munchies.... apparently these hippie types were in Colorado and found a mountain top covered in..... wild strawberries. They are very small, but very good. They just crawled around and wallowed like bears for hours until they were red from head to toe and couldn't eat another berry. Y'all got plenty produce out there in Cali. Of course if in Gilroy I dunno I'd want to eat a field of GARLIC or nothing. I think that'd top instant coffee granules. - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 13:03:53 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas New stuff > I'm just the crusty one sat in the corner muttering at people as they wander > past.. Don't go and get barnacles, Stu! :-) You have to be able to dance about to the Polyphonic Spree! Uh-oh, the air has had it with the temperature again and I hear thunder.... "thundery" showers sounds so twee.... we have thunderstorms here :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 13:17:35 -0500 From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Hot Hot Hot Quoting Stu Bird : > Have you seen the bloody price of those things??? Ya know Stu, in the Southern US we have lots of yummies for refrigerator cakes and pies, including chocolate pies, and cheesecakes :-) Though I have to say that I think not liking salad is a guy thing. (Now I'm gonna hear from all the exceptions). I like green leaf lettuce, sliced green apples, feta cheese, and toasted sweetened pecans with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Carrots are lovely. Also a stalwart French salad with lettuce and 'petits verts' (little tiny vegetable crudites) and a half-poached egg atop with an eye-watering Dijon vinaigrette. And good Caesar salads..... Can you tell I'm having to skip lunch today? :-) - ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 20:45:58 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Stu=20Bird?= Subject: Re: seven-seas OT: Hot Hot Hot Nope.. It's an evolution thing.. Otherwise our gall-bladders would be pefectly working, normal parts of our body instead of the useless, needless thing that it is.. I don't mind a very little bit of salad with my steak, chicken, or kebab, but if we were meant to eat loads of salad, nuts and shite, then our teeth would be set out different... I do like peppers & tomatoes though.. I've got a bloody mutant chilli pepper plant in the conservatory.. Damn thing's about 6 foot tall, and I swear the tomatoes are planning a revolution.. I'm not even gonna start with the runner beans..... It's something about all these people buying greenhouses apparantly.... ;-) "Grow-me-own" Stu Amy Moseley Rupp wrote: Though I have to say that I think not liking salad is a guy thing. - --------------------------------- Want to chat instantly with your online friends? I love the new Shaun Ryder one, any one know what happened to Kermit's band, saw them a while back and they were pretty good too. Nick Cave South Bank Show was quite good. - -----Original Message----- From: Barry Whiting Black Grape -- "It's Great When You're Straight, Yeah" (new Shaun Ryder is very disappointing), ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #640 ********************************
