They were the only unknown band that I've seen in concert that actually became a very modest success and gave an impressive show. The lead singer reminded me of David Lee Roth. Now, I've never a fan of White Lion or any other hair metal band, but they gave a great performance. What can I say? (I can imagine you saying -- Well, Henry, you should get out more and see more shows - I have!). This assessment also includes seeing BRMC opening ffor The Waterboys in March 3001. BMRC tried hard, but they connect with the audience. Sometimes a band kicks ass before the major label debut strangles all the life out of them. Thinking about unknown bands I've seen that opened shows. Probably the biggest one was some unknown teen skate band called Sum 41 opening for a then bigger local band, they were so young and they were awful, everyone hated them, but they got the last laugh. Soundtrack of our lives opened for Oasis last year, were pretty impressive. So were Phaser who opened for Ladytron. - --- Henry Biedenkapp wrote: > Yes, Andrew, that hair band.
