Did he clear a big space around him? :-) When I was younger I wanted there to be a random quiz at the entry to every concert so that only fans could get in. Oh, and before buying tickets for a gig. A sort of fan certification so that the "truly worthy" were getting the tickets and not scalpers and frat boys trying to be cool. I guess people honestly wanting to just check out a band could be given some kind of waiver with a "gig behaviour" background check ;-) That was before I figured out that the world was completely unfair and most problems unfixable. :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 14:01:09 -0500 From: "Amy Rupp" Subject: RE: seven-seas OT - Shack-NEW WEBSITE > >Why? Actually, sometimes "because" is the *only* answer to a question with an indefinite answer! Why is my favourite colour peach? Um.... because? There are certainly no other reasons that come to mind, and I don't even like the fruit! The other reason to use "because" is because the answer is implicitly obvious -- in this case, I fancy Matt, and therefore was intrinsically curious as to if there was any elaboration on why he didn't like this band. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 16:19:22 -0400 From: Red Subject: RE: seven-seas OT - Shack-NEW WEBSITE At 02:56 PM 7/29/03 -0500, you wrote: >The other reason to use "because" is because the >answer is implicitly obvious -- in this case, >I fancy Matt, and therefore was intrinsically >curious as to if there was any elaboration on >why he didn't like this band.
