But then again, how many Icelandic musicians are there? :-) They should have brought Leaves and made it more or less complete :-) - --Amy ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2003 11:34:11 -0500 From: "Amy Rupp" Subject: seven-seas NME article on REM's eclectic set list http://www.nme.com/news/105692.htm It's good to check out nme.com whenever I think of it.... just looking at the singles chart is interesting. For example, Polyphonic Spree is on it, though below #50 at present; Killing Joke seem to have entered reasonably high but fallen quickly during the last week; and so on. I don't even bother checking the US charts. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2003 12:49:06 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas NME article on REM's eclectic set list At 11:34 AM 7/28/03 -0500, you wrote: >http://www.nme.com/news/105692.htm > >It's good to check out nme.com whenever I think of it.... just looking >at the singles chart is interesting. I have to watch out for them lest they convert me :-) I had wondered if any of the music had cracked the charts; there's no question the live shows would fascinate some, but the music? I guess they're a very polarising band -- love 'em or hate 'em. Actually I was far more pleased to see the upcoming third Muse album listening party :-) of course, a lot of it was written when singer/songwriter/guitarist Matt was quote "in love" which may make it crap :-) A lot of the best moments on the first album, Showbiz, are bitter breakup songs. We'll see. But not to worry -- the album was influenced by the war in Iraq, supposedly. Boy, NME *hate* Muse. ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 00:35:45 +0100 From: "K.P.
