I picked it up last night because the sticker on the front said that it features a new 12 minute track and 3 videos. (I haven't even watched those yet coz I have to wait till I can get my kids to show me how to use the Playstation 2 hehehee) I don't see a 12 minute track! Just one that I already have on the cd, and 3 others.....4:41 2:47 and 4:22... I spose the 3 combined almost make up 12 mins but that's a little deceiving! GGRRR! And they NEVER use titles! So you can't tell anything! But it's still good nevertheless! (but don't YOU buy it Matt, it's even more 'whale music' than the rest!) hahahhahaha I'm thinking about waking the boys up so I can see the videos! ;-) Red ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jul 2003 10:17:29 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas Film soundtracks >>So what film gets your vote for best soundtrack? I really kinda like the soundtrack for 'Wings of Desire' and 'Until the End of the World'. Aren't they both Wim Wenders films? That guy has really cool taste in music!! Maybe they > suddenly realized it was Rush they were talking about.... > and scratched that scene from the film! hahahhaa No, it's the other way round -- Rush get credit on the film credits and of course on imdb.com <------ O Matt, when you are at home and not blocked by firewalls you MUST try this site, kept trying to remember to remind you :-) ....anyway, but they are NOT on the soundtrack *CD*. Yer right, they could have cut Rush from the film, but Mr Cusack et al had to choose the music and as eclectic as it is, I wouldn't doubt Jacob's Ladder would be on there. As I said, it's largely instrumental and what vocals are on there are relatively low. I have a very good idea which bit of it would have been used..... NO BLOODY USE asking you guys, I'm gonna ask the Rush lot, because THEY'LL know. :-) ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jul 2003 09:49:06 -0500 (CDT) From: Amy Moseley Rupp Subject: Re: seven-seas Film soundtracks > So what film gets your vote for best soundtrack? Even pulled it out to look at it. As a girl, you hear that line so much it sticks in yer craw.... as in, why can't I go down the clubs by myself when my brother does? well, it's *different* from girls.... (eg you might be raped and killed, whereas your brother would only be killed) > > suddenly realized it was Rush they were talking about.... > > and scratched that scene from the film! hahahhaa > > I reckon you're right there..... ;-) Noooooooo, the reference wasn't to the BAND, it was the use of a piece of music. There was of course the reference to Echo and then that JAMC picked up where they left off.... hmmmm.... still don't think so, but.... ====================================== http://www.bunnymenlist.com ====================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V2 #582 ********************************
